Fried tofu is fresh and hot. Regular raw tofu is thick. Service was okay. The cashier does not speak English. The shop is a bit old. It can be cleaner. Bring cash. There is a credit card fee if paying by card.

Tucked in an unassuming, green center across from aging Kong City Mall, the shop clearly caters to regulars. There is a large, shared parking lot that was surprisingly full at 1 pm on a Friday (or perhaps it's not that surprising? We don't go very often.) There are handwritten signs for most everything in Vietnamese and a few key words in English along with the prices. There are snacks in the first section on the left and the fried tofu is by the back left corner. We were in the area and decided to stop by on the recommendation of our dad and a few family friends. We're vegetarian and though this place does serve foods that contain meat, they do have vegetarian options. We focused on the fried tofu of varying flavors (think woodear fungus and lemongrass) that are offered on buffet-style food warmers and it's all self help. There are tongs and plastic bags you put your choices in - mix and match! The rectangular prisms are 4 for $1 whereas the longer tofu wrapped in bean curd are a little more, but it's all under $2. Near the door, I spotted fried donut cruellers commonly eaten with rice congee and I got a stick of that for my daughter who loves them ($1.75). They do accept card but they'll charge you a fee so I scrounged up some cash for it. There was one lady in the front who did her job and there was steady traffic of customers. No place to eat in there that I can remember so it's purely a to-go sort of place. We didn't eat the tofu or the fried bread until 2 days later. Heated the tofu up in a pan with some oil eaten with some soy sauce - it is delicious! Perfect crisp on the outside with pillowy soft innards. Great as a side or even a snack! My daughter loved the bread - we just heated that for a few seconds in the microwave. A great place for fresh tofu and snacks! I'll definitely stop by again and see what else they have.

Eat these tofus with soy sauce or tuong (Vietnamese miso sauce) when they're freshly made. Get them in the mornings of Saturday and Sunday. The store takes turns frying different types of tofus. I usually get there between 10-11 am. There used to be about 8 different types (include wood ear mushrooms and vermicelli noodles, ground pork with onions, etc), but now there's only 5 types of flavors: - green onions - lemon grass - plain - Tau Hu Ky (tofu skin) rolls and steaks. We also like their tofu desert: - Đau Hủ Đường is silken tofu in ginger syrup. Very sweet, very good and very addicting.

My parents always visit this place to buy fresh fried tofu before they leave Houston. The tofu can sell out quickly, so we go in the mornings to prevent this. The price is pretty incredible. I've only gone just recently with a companion to fetch some tofu for my parents, and we probably got 30+ pieces of tofu for only $9. What a deal. The lemongrass and plain/original fried tofu are my family's favorites. This place is cash-only and mostly Vietnamese-speaking, but the cashier up front seemed able to accommodate non-Vietnamese speakers with basic transaction-related English well enough. Just good quality fried tofu here with a few other things too! Great to eat by itself as a snack or as a delicious and quick vegetarian meal with mint, Vietnamese shrimp or fish sauce, and vermicelli noodles.

I'll admit I was skeptical when I was told about this Tofu shop, but after the first visit, I was hooked! There is an assortment of Tofu and small packaged food choices all at your fingertips the minute you enter. The staff is nice and the tofu is fairly priced! (7 pieces for $1!) I personally love all of the flavored tofu, especially the Cilantro one! There's nothing I look forward to on the weekends than paying Viet Tien a visit for tofu and a cup of cool Soy Milk (With Pandan!) If you haven't visited before, check it out!

Our family has been coming here for years for our tofu fix. The fried tofu have such a soft silky texture that you can't get from the grocery store, even if you purchase the fresh ones and fry it yourself. My favorite flavor is the spicy lemongrass one. I also really like their tofu pudding, where you can enjoy the simplicity of soy with sweet ginger syrup. Service is minimal, such that they stay behind the counter most times, only coming out to refill the product. It is cash only, and I don't even know where is the nearest ATM, so come prepared!

My Vietnamese friend recommended this place for fried tofu. Came here on Sat early afternoon and it was quiet. They have a lot of Vietnamese snacks where some labels were in English with ingredients. That's helpful because I don't understand Vietnamese. Paid $1 in cash for the 7 pieces of fried tofu. I think they also sell tofu pudding by the register but don't know the prices. Check it out as it can be adventurous!

I love the fried tofu here. You can get 7 pieces for 1 buck. I also love the wrapped tofu which is 1.50. Bring cash because they do not accept credit cards. I also like the sesame buns. The owners and the son are friendly.
